I caught a bus from Saigon to Bac Lieu, the journey took a long time, about 6 hours. You should choose a drive at night to relieve fatigue. Going to the Western bus station will have an option: Phuong Trang and Tuan Hung garage. I thought Tuan Hung coach ticket was cheaper, 150k, so I chose this. In Bac Lieu bus station, we rented a motorbike for 150k/day. You should rent one and check it carefully before rental. I had a thinking that is to travel in a short distance so I can choose any kind of motorbike and got a bitter fruit. I took a motorbike for a while and then decided to rent a hotel room on the other side of the bridge for a price of 300k / night. I came to Bac Lieu in the afternoon, so I took a shower and went around to explore the city first. Bac Lieu is bustling with the busiest square owning many strange architectural shapes and restaurants. I ate, drank and took a rest early to get up early in the morning in the hope of watching the sunrise at Phong Dien power plant. But well, my plan broke down because I overslept and got up too late. I was trotting to take my motorbike to go to the 4km distance from the entrance. My motor broke down and failed to start the engine.
